I am employed at the Faculty of Forest Sciences, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) as professor of silviculture since 1999. I have been working at the University since the 1980's.
My research areas are effects on single tree growth of thinning, fertilisation, and mechanical perturbation, and effects of wind and snow on damage to trees and stands.
During recent years I have been working within a number of EU-projects; STORMS, EFORWOOD, Northern ToSIA. Furthermore, I am involved in a student mobility programme between EU and Canada, Transfor and Transfor-M.
Alongside my research work I have been involved in most of the educational work at all levels at the Department of Forest Ecology and Management.
